Q: Can you hold a place before I apply?
A: We cannot hold a property without an approved application and
paid security deposit.

Q: Do I pay first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?
A: The security deposit is paid separately from the rent.
First month's rent (or prorated first month's rent) is required to be
paid prior to occupancy.

Q: How old must you be to apply?
A: All occupants 18 years and older must submit a
separate application.

Q: Is the Application Fee Refundable?
A: As stated in our Rental Qualifying Criteria the Application Fee is non-refundable.

Q: Who needs a cosigner?
A: A co-signer may be required in cases where our minimum qualifying criteria is not met.

Q: You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?
A: Go to our Available Properties tab at
www.DeGuireProperties.com.
Scroll to the property you are interested in and click Apply Now.

Q: How do I pay rent?
A: Tenants conveniently pay rent electronically through their tenant portal.

Q: I have a pet. What do I do?
A: Most of our properties allow up to 2 small pets (less than 20 lbs).
DPM utilizes a 3rd party pet screening service called Petscreening.com.

Q: I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What do I do?
A: The lease agreement is a legally binding contract between the landlord
and each tenant 18 years and older.

Q: My lease expiration is coming and I want to move out. What do I do?
A: The lease agreement automatically renews on a month to month basis unless the
tenant provides 60 days notice prior to the expiration date.

Q: What do I do if I have a maintenance request?
A: Tenants are able to submit maintenance requests, communicate with management and maintenance,
choose repair times, provide feedback, and more through our maintenance system called PropertyMeld.
PropertyMeld can be accessed from your phone (no app required), computer, or any internet-connected device.
